Robert P. Roche, Jr.
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations

Mr. Roche joined the company in 1995 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and was appointed Senior Vice President, Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations in 2000 before being named Executive Vice President in 2005. Previously, Mr. Roche was Director and Vice President, Worldwide Strategic Product Development, for SmithKline Beecham’s central nervous system and gastrointestinal products business. He also was managing director of SmithKline’s pharmaceutical operations in the Philippines. Prior to that, he held senior marketing positions in Canada and Spain and had product planning responsibilities for SmithKline in Latin America.

Mr. Roche began his pharmaceutical career in 1982 as a U.S. pharmaceutical sales representative. He is a graduate of Colgate University and received his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Roche serves as a member of the Board of Directors for LifeCell.

J. Kevin Buchi
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Buchi joined the company as controller in March 1991. He has held several financial positions with the company prior to being appointed Senior Vice President, Finance, and CFO in April 1996 before being named Executive Vice President and CFO. Between 1985 and 1991, Mr. Buchi served in a number of financial positions with E.I. duPont de Nemours and Company.

Mr. Buchi received his masters in management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1982, and he is a certified public accountant. Mr. Buchi serves on the board of directors of Lorus Therapeutics, Inc. of Toronto, Canada.

Jeffry L. Vaught, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Research & Development

Dr. Vaught is Executive Vice President of the company’s research and development division. He has headed the company's research operations since joining Cephalon in 1991. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Vaught was Assistant Director, CNS Research, for the R.W.J. Pharmaceutical Research Institute, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, a pharmaceutical and consumer products company, and central nervous system therapeutic team leader for Johnson & Johnson from 1989 to 1991.

Dr. Vaught received his Ph.D. in pharmacology from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Vaught has published more than 100 articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals in the field of neurobiology. He currently holds an adjunct academic appointment in the Department of Pharmacology at Temple University, serves on the ASPET Drug Discovery and Development Committee, is a member of the integrated research team for Neuroprotection Advanced Technology Applications for Combat Casualty Care and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Experimental Therapeutics.

Peter E. Grebow, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Technical Operations

Dr. Grebow was appointed Executive Vice President, Worldwide Technical Operations, in February 2005. Prior to that time, Dr. Grebow served in various senior management positions including Senior Vice President, Worldwide Technical Operations, and senior Vice President, Business Development. Previously, Dr. Grebow managed Cephalon's drug development operations. He joined the company in January 1991. From 1988 to 1990, Dr. Grebow served as vice president of drug development for Rorer Central Research, a division of Rhône-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Dr. Grebow received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Carl A. Savini
Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer

Mr. Savini joined Cephalon in June 1993 and was Senior Vice President, Human Resources from January 2000 until October 2004 before being named Chief Administrative Officer, and later Executive Vice President in 2006. Prior to that he served as Director, Human Resources and was appointed Vice President, Human Resources in January 1995. Previously, he worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company for ten years in positions of increasing responsibility in human resources.

Mr. Savini graduated from Pennsylvania State University and received his MBA from La Salle College.

Lesley Russell, MB.Ch.B, MRCP
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Medical and Regulatory Operations

Dr. Russell manages all clinical, medical, regulatory, drug safety and biometrics matters worldwide. She has broad expertise leading clinical research initiatives as a physician and senior executive with pharmaceutical research companies in the United States and United Kingdom, with particular strength in oncology.

Dr. Russell came to Cephalon in January 2000 from US Bioscience Inc./Medimmune Oncology, where she was Vice President Clinical Research, responsible for directing and implementing the clinical programs in oncology and HIV research. Prior to joining US Bioscience, Dr. Russell was Director of Clinical Research at USB Pharma Ltd, the European subsidiary of US Bioscience. Before her work at USB Pharma, Dr. Russell was a Clinical Research Physician at Eli Lilly UK, responsible for the oncology clinical trial program in the UK. Dr. Russell was Medical Director at Amgen UK.

Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Russell was trained in Hematology/Oncology at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and Royal Hospital for Sick Children Edinburgh UK and was a Research Fellow at University of Edinburgh Faculty of Medicine. She received a MB.Ch.B. degree from University of Edinburgh, Scotland, Faculty of Medicine and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK.

Frank Baldino, Jr, Ph.D.
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Cephalon, Inc.

Dr. Baldino founded Cephalon in 1987 and grew it from a privately held company to the sixth largest publicly traded biotechnology company in the U.S., with 2005 revenue exceeding $1.2 billion.  Cephalon expects to propel its annual revenue to $2 billion by 2008 with dramatic growth of its core products combined with new product launches, acquisitions and industry collaborations.

Dr. Baldino has nearly two decades of scientific experience in neurobiology, molecular biology and electrophysiology, and has authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature, Journal of Neuroscience Research and Brain Research. Dr. Baldino received his Ph.D. in pharmacology from Temple University. From 1981-1987, Dr. Baldino served as senior research biologist in the medical products department at E.I. duPont de Nemours & Company, where he was responsible for developing research strategies for identifying novel neuropharmaceutical agents.

Dr. Baldino Chairs the Executive Council of the Harvard Division of Sleep Medicine, and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Temple University and The Franklin Institute. In addition, Dr. Baldino serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Eastern Technology Council, NicOx, S.A., PhRMA, BioAdvance Biotechnology Greenhouse Corp., Biotechnology Industry Association (BIO), Pharmacopeia Drug Discovery, Inc., Quaker BioVentures, L.P., Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association, and Acusphere, Inc. He is also a member of the Healthcap Advisors Board and the Vantage Point Venture Partners Advisory Committee. Dr. Baldino also holds several adjunct academic appointments, and serves on the Muhlenberg College Board of Observers.

John E. Osborn, Esq.
Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

Mr. Osborn joined the company in 1997 as Vice President, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1998, and to Executive Vice President in 2006. He is responsible for managing all legal, intellectual property, government and public affairs matters at the company. Prior to joining Cephalon, he held various positions with The DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company. Prior to that, he served as special assistant to the legal adviser with the U.S. Department of State, practiced corporate law in Boston with the firm of Hale and Dorr, clerked for Judge Albert V. Bryan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and worked on Capitol Hill in the offices of former U.S. Representative Jim Leach of Iowa and the late U.S. Senator John Heinz of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Osborn studied at the College of William & Mary, graduated from the University of Iowa, and earned a master’s degree in international public policy from Johns Hopkins University and a law degree from the University of Virginia. He was a visiting fellow in politics at Princeton University, an Eisenhower Fellow to Ireland and a visiting scholar in East European Studies at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. Mr. Osborn is a member of the American Law Institute, the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Board of Directors of Incept BioSystems, Inc., the Board of Governors of the East-West Center in Honolulu, the Leadership Council of the Life Sciences Institute at the University of Michigan, the Board of Trustees of Tower Hill School and the Corporate Executive Board of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Valli F. Baldassano, Esq.
Executive Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Baldassano joined the company in 2007 and is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and auditing of all corporate compliance programs at the company, and chairs the corporation’s Corporate Compliance Committee. Prior to joining Cephalon, she was a Partner with Fox Rothschild LLP in Philadelphia where she was a member of the Litigation Department and the founding member of the White Collar Compliance and Defense Practice Group.

Her corporate law experience includes eight years in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as Vice President, Global Compliance at Schering-Plough. Earlier in her career, Ms. Baldassano spent four years at the former Pharmacia (now Pfizer) where she was their Senior Director, Global Compliance and Associate General Counsel. Prior to her work in the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Baldassano served for nearly 8 years as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Criminal Division of the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Baldassano graduated from Georgetown University and earned a law degree from Syracuse University (magna cum laude). She is a member of the board of the Committee of Seventy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
