- Deloitte & Touche USA LLP named Cephalon to the 2007 Greater Philadelphia Technology Fast 50, which recognizes the 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunication and life sciences companies in the Greater Philadelphia area based on percentage revenue growth over five years.
- Cephalon was awarded the 2007 British American Business Council Explorer Award, given annually to a company in the greater Philadelphia region that has made a significant business investment in the United Kingdom.
- Cephalon CEO Frank Baldino, Jr., Ph.D. was named by PharmaVOICE as one of the “100 Most Inspiring People” and included in a list of entrepreneurs who are redefining the life-sciences industry through innovative approaches to improving technologies, processes, services and ultimately patient care.
- Cephalon was added to the NASDAQ-100 Index, which includes 100 of the largest non-financial domestic and international securities listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market based on market capitalization.
- Cephalon has joined the list of companies included in the FORTUNE 1000 annual ranking of America’s largest corporations. Cephalon is one of only 19 companies in the pharmaceutical sector to make FORTUNE Magazine’s list in 2007.
- The World Economic Forum inducted Cephalon into its “Community of Global Growth Companies” — a group of companies with revenues of $100 million to $2 billion, annual growth of more than 15%, a focus on global expansion strategies, and demonstrated leadership in a particular industry.
- R&D Directions magazine identified Cephalon compounds CEP-701 (lestaurtinib) for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia, and TREANDA® (bendamustine HCl) for the treatment of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as two of the 100 Great Investigational Drugs of 2007.
- Industry Week ranked Cephalon as one of the 500 largest U.S. manufacturers in its annual reporting of the largest publicly held U.S. manufacturing companies based on revenue. Cephalon moved up from #458 in the 2006 ranking to #381 in 2007.
- Frank Baldino, Jr., Ph.D., honored by the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia for his contributions to regional economic development.
- Dr. Baldino received the first Hubert J.P. Schoemaker Leadership Award, which recognizes a leader in the biosciences community who best exemplifies the spirit of innovation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Cephalon named winner of the 2006 Supplier of the Year Award in the midsize brand pharmaceutical category by McKesson Corporation.
- Cephalon ranked among the top 40 companies in The Scientist magazine’s “Best Places to Work in Industry” survey.
- Cephalon co-sponsored BIO 2005, which attracted 18,000 people from 50 countries to the Greater Philadelphia Region. Cephalon advertising at AMTRAK’s 30th Street Station in Philadelphia was seen by the 18,000 attendees and general public.
- Named for the third consecutive year to the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, which recognizing the fastest-growing technology companies in the U.S. and Canada.
- Received the HD Smith Wholesale Drug Company Vendor of the Year award and the Cardinal Health Supplier Quality Award for superior quality of service.
- The Boy Scouts of America Cradle of Liberty Council honored Frank Baldino, Jr. with the technology "Good Scout" award.
- Ranked the sixth most admired biotechnology company by MedAdNews, a monthly magazine that covers marketing in the pharmaceutical business.
