Cephalon is celebrating its 20th year in business this year, having grown from a start-up biotechnology company in 1987 to an international biopharmaceutical company. With your participation, we have developed 7 new medications and made them available to people in need. Like us, you were willing to take the risk inherent in the clinical testing of medications, when there was no guarantee that they would ever reach the market. To the hundreds of physicians who participated in our clinical studies and the thousands who prescribe our medicines, I thank you. Your desire to bring relief to patients in need motivates us to further research our current medicines and encourages us that the risk inherent in developing new medicines is worth the investment. To the venture capitalists, investors and stockholders who provided the financial resources necessary to build and sustain this twenty year journey, I thank you. With your support we have grown to become the eighth largest biopharmaceutical company, with first in class products that have blazed a path for other companies to follow. To the 3,000 employees who deliver more every day, I thank you.
