Relationships with Healthcare Professionals
The complex endeavor of developing and bringing novel treatment options to patients
living with difficult-to-treat or rare conditions requires a great deal of both
vision and insight. It is a process of discovery and of collaboration. And it involves
not only finding the right answers, but asking the right questions.
At Cephalon, we recognize that our mission is one we cannot successfully achieve
alone. We rely on healthcare professionals
around the world for their expertise in the understanding of disease and patient
care. They play a vital role in assuring that patients have access to the medications
they need and that those medications are used correctly. Healthcare professionals
need the latest, most accurate scientific information available regarding our products
to assure they are used in a manner that achieves the fullest therapeutic benefit
and maintains patient safety.
Cephalon fully supports transparency in our relationships with healthcare professionals,
which we hope will foster a better understanding of the critical role these vital
relationships play in developing and bringing new medicines to market and in addressing
the needs of patients. Therefore, beginning in 2010, Cephalon began to make the
financial nature of our relationships with healthcare professionals transparent
to the public.
